Students from Escola Pia Mataró participated in an engaging activity known as “Blindfold Follow the Leader,” designed to foster empathy and communication skills. In this game, one student acted as the leader while the remaining participants were blindfolded using masks or other clothing items. The blindfolded players were tasked with following the leader’s cues, which involved either mimicking actions or responding to verbal instructions to navigate a designated course. The goal of the game was to fill an empty water bottle using medium-sized glasses. While finishing first was the objective, it wasn’t the primary focus.
This activity not only challenged participants to trust the leader and collaborate with each other but also emphasized the importance of clear and compassionate communication, thereby enhancing their understanding of vulnerability and empathy in group dynamics.
